It’s been super fun to sort through all the pictur It’s been super fun to sort through all the pictures that students took and shared from our two weeks together in upper clay @penlandschool So many good ones! Here’s a few that are focused on hands, tactile knowledge, process, painted slip and cut stencils for adding color and texture to our pieces. The last images are of a large bowl which was our class collaboration. Felt so inspired to be at a place with so many others who care deeply about community, collective knowledge and objects guided by our hands. #penlandschoolofcraft #clay #process

My studio practice is one of the few outlets I have to express my feelings of frustration and sorrow, hope and gratitude, a place to attempt to reset and refocus my thoughts, a place that gives me space to try and make sense of a senseless world I imagine the peacocks, inspired by a drawing of a peacock on a small bowl my mother carried with her when she left Iran, walking alongside other weary dusty travelers on ancient trading routes of the Asian continent and that thought helps give me some modest hope for a more peaceful future #artstreamnomadicgallery #nceca2026
